Fatima Adamu along with Sasha Wright will be performing a site-specific dance performance, created especially for BUS STOP!
Public transport, whether you love or hate it, is an integral part of the urban landscape. Some even go so far as to call it a city’s lifeblood. Deep, intimate secrets are disclosed in a cavalier manner on a cell phone, friendships made and love affairs blossom along trolley tracks and between subway stops. Shoes accompany us as we traverse the urban landscape and send signals of who we think we are.
As Fatima stood in the shop, the words “BUS STOP” and “underground” mixed with the scent of leather and beautiful shoes, she was “moved” to craft a site-specific dance piece that she hopes will amuse and stimulate the viewer, SEPTA and London Underground passengers!
