Playful Summer Shoe Style Ideas!

We are so excited to present a new series blog series BUS STOP Street Shoe Style! Every week or so, we’ll post a series of playful summer shoes that we have styled accordingly.

Vol. 1 is brought to you by our intern Gina Grasso who’s studying at Jefferson University. She has a summer internship at BUS STOP,a boutique shoe store in Philadelphia

First, one of our new favorite summer styles the yellow Swedish Hasbeens. Because the shoes are very playful, I decided to pair it with a colorful babydoll dress from Urban Outfitters. For accessories, I chose to wear my gold “G” necklace from Nordstrom, and some small gold hoops from Target. I kept my hair in a low bun to keep the attention to the outfit and did my everyday makeup routine (Glossier skin tint, Glossier cloud paint blush, Physician’s Formula butter bronzer, Glossier niteshine highlighter in “pale pearl”, Glossier lash slick mascara and a pink lipstick by Allure). Finally, Aubrie suggested I hold the bouquet we had in store from Longview Flowers to play into the very feminine aesthetic look.

Next, another pair from Swedish Hasbeens, this time with a closed toe. I paired them with my white cropped jeans that I thrifted and this awesome tye dye Batik top from Thailand that we sell in the shop. I don’t normally go for a bohemian look, but I felt like the shoes dared me to go out of my comfort zone a bit, and it turned out amazing! Makeup was the same as above, instead with Sephora Collection lipstick in “nude beach”. As for hair I kept it very natural as per usual. Just a bit of product after the shower does the trick for me. I decided to skip out on accessories this time because I felt this look was powerful enough on its own.

Next up, I styled the woven heels from Miista. These scream summer time and made my feet feel oh-so-pretty. I paired them with the same white jeans, a tie front plaid top from Urban Outfitters, and Aubrie added the one pocket Batik Kimono from Thailand (also available in store) over top for some extra color. Accessory, makeup and hair details are the same as the outfit above as they were taken on the same day.

Finally, these super chic flats, also from Miista. I paired them with the same outfit as above, minus the kimono. I thought the green in my top worked wonderfully with the blue in the shoes. My favorite part about this look is that the shoes transformed the outfit. Prior to our little shoot, I had on a simple pair of 3 strap sandals from Target, but these Miistas took the outfit to a new level! Makeup, hair and accessory details are the same as the photo above.
